Dissertation Services
Students with advanced candidacy who have finalized the date of defense need to contact Geeta Patangay for final dissertation processing. She is available to guide you through, from getting your signature page ready, to getting your dissertation ready to submit online.
Guidelines:
- Formatting of the signature page must be approved before the date of defense.
- Signature pages must be printed on 20 or 24 pound, acid-free, 100% rag bond paper (Minimum two copies required of the signature page – One for the library copy and the other for the archives file).
- A copy of your dissertation is required by the library on regular paper before your defense. Geeta Patangay will edit the preliminary pages of your dissertation so that you will have a smooth process of editing and then printing it on good paper. The final must be printed on 20 or 24 pound, acid-free, 100% rag bond paper after it is approved by your committee.
In the meantime, you can open an account with Proquest for the submission of your digital copy at http://dissertations.umi.com/pgsp. Carefully read the guidelines on the Proquest website before you submit your digital copy. If you have any questions, please contact Geeta Patangay at or 650-843-3585. You may also stop by and consult with Geeta in the Library Office.
The printed final copy may be submitted to Geeta, along with the D8 form (available in Appendix C of the Dissertation Handbook). If you require more copies, please state this on the D8, and include the appropriate amount on your check made out to PGSP.
