EndNote Bibliographic Management Software
EndNote is software that helps you to download, organize, and automatically format citations/references in APA style in documents such as papers, journal articles, and dissertations.
The PGSP Research Library offers EndNote to students for purchase through our Endnote site license at a substantial discount -- simply ask the Library staff about purchasing EndNote.
The current version of EndNote on the Windows platform and on the Mac OS X platform is EndNoteVersion X (roman numeral 10).
You can also download a free 30 day trial of EndNote at http://endnote.com and then purchase a permanent copy in the Library at a later time.
EndNote version X is also installed on all of the computers in the PGSP Library and in the PGSP Computer Lab.
In addition, a web-based version of EndNote called EndNote Web is available for free through the PGSP Library. The initial sign up for an EndNote Web account requires that the signup be done on campus, but if you are off-campus, email the PGSP librarian Scott Hines for assistance.
If you are on campus, sign up for an EndNote Web account at http://www.myendnoteweb.com. That account login will give you access for 12 months. After 12 months you will need to verify your account again from on campus using the link provided here.
Information in EndNote Web is available anytime, anywhere you have an internet connection, and information in EndNote installed on your computer can be imported and exported from EndNote Web. EndNote installed on your computer allows more references to be stored than EndNote Web, and it also has some features not included in EndNote Web.
A complete PDF tutorial on using EndNote is available by following this link directly to the endnote tutorial.
For further assistance with EndNote, stop by the library or email the librarian, Scott Hines.
