The Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, a private, independent professional school educating doctoral students in Palo Alto, announced additions to its team. Joyce Chu was named assistant professor and associate director of clinical training. She is currently a clinical supervisor at PGSP’s mental health clinic, the Gronowski Clinic, in Los Altos.

Luli Emmons was named vice president professional development and associate professor. She focuses on mentoring students through practical and pre-doctoral internship training and career planning and will also be teaching coursework at PGSP. Previously, she was the executive director of the California Psychology Internship Counsel, a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of psychology doctoral programs and pre-doctoral internships.

Amie Haas was named associate director of clinical training and assistant professor. She currently has two main areas of research, the identification and treatment of college students who abuse substances and neuropsychological correlates of healthy aging. She has been collaborating with a local, private university to develop prevention and early interventions for college students at risk for problematic drinking.

Jim Lynch was named vice president for enrollment. He oversees PGSP's undergraduate and graduate admissions and financial aid, as well as its integrated marketing efforts. Jim previously served as an educational consultant.

Janice Pettey was named vice president for institutional advancement. She is currently the principal of J.G. Pettey & Associates, a consulting firm serving foundations and nonprofits. Previously, she was CEO of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.
