PACIFIC GRADUATE SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY ANNOUNCES PLANS TO MOVE TO PALO ALTO

School Will Open Doors at New Location in Summer, 2009

Palo Alto, Calif. (January 29, 2008) – The Pacific Graduate School of Psychology (PGSP), a private, independent professional school educating undergraduate and graduate students in the greater Bay Area, announced today it will move its graduate courses and library to a new location in Palo Alto, Calif. Formerly located at 935 E. Meadow Drive in Palo Alto, PGSP will move to its new campus in the summer of 2009, located at 1791 Arastradero Road.

"Over the past two years, we have recruited additional faculty and administrators as well as increased student enrollment," Allen Calvin, Ph.D. and president of PGSP. "The Arastradero Road site will provide our faculty and our students with a cutting edge facility." The new setting, an eight acre parcel of wooded area with existing structures, is situated in Palo Alto, adjacent to unincorporated Santa Clara County. The location was occupied by the American Institute of Research, an institution which also engages in psychological study and research.

PGSP has hired Swinerton Management and Consulting (SMC) to make recommendations and implement changes in order to reuse the three existing buildings. In addition to one classroom and meeting space, the 25,000 square foot facility will host a 5,000+ square foot information resources/library, as well as faculty and administrative offices. The campus will continue to use the existing 100+ parking spaces for students, faculty and visitors.

"PGSP brought in our consulting group to transform the existing site into a learning environment that is supportive and conducive to the academic mission and excellence the school is known for," said Jeffrey Gee, Vice President of SMC. "We plan to begin renovations late in the summer of 2008 and look forward to working with the school's leadership to deliver their vision for the new campus." Gee heads the Education Division of SMC and has lead projects for other academic institutions including College of Marin, the French American School and several others.

PGSP recently vacated their East Meadow Drive building, and leases a building from Stanford University at 405 Broadway in Redwood City, Calif. Until the renovations are complete at the Arastradero Road campus, all graduate courses will temporarily be taught in Redwood City, and undergraduate classes will remain in Cupertino, at De Anza College. In addition, PGSP's training clinic, The Kurt and Barbara Gronowski Clinic, will remain in Los Altos, Calif.

"We are delighted to have PGSP call Redwood City home as it awaits the completion of its permanent campus," said Rosanne Foust, Mayor of Redwood City. "We will do our best to make them feel part of our family and hope that our constituents will take advantage of the school's academic programs."
